Jack Daniels Single Barrell Rye Bottles eleasing November 15-16, 2019

The Original Bourbon Club (TOBC) is pleased to announce the bottles from our Jack Daniels Single Barrel Rye will be distributed to the club members on November 15th and 16th at Saias in Mandeville. Plan on coming to see us one (or both days) to pick up your bottles. We will be there with the grill cooking some of Alan’s famous Honey Cajun Sausage as well as pouring samples of the rye selection. Friday night we will be there from 5 pm – 7:30 pm and Saturday 9:30 am-noon.

For those not familiar with the history of how this selection came to be, the inaugural tasting the Covington Chapter held was a blind tasting on August 30th, 2018 where Brown-Forman showcased Old Forester Statesman, Woodford Bourbon, Woodford Rye, and Jack Daniels Rye. Over 25 members participated and over half selected the Jack Daniels Rye as the overall winner. This was an unexpected but exciting outcome. Over the course of the following year, the club Barons worked with Brown-Forman for a personal selection of Jack Daniels Rye. Two members from Covington, one from Mandeville, and one from Fort Worth Chapters went to the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg and made what we believe to be an outstanding selection. These bottles are being made available just in time for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. These will pair expertly with your holiday meals or make a perfect gift.

The selection was a joint venture between the Covington and Fort Worth chapters as both chapters were being newly formed. Since Jack Daniels will custom imprint hanging medallions for each bottle we convinced Jack Daniels to create three medallions for us. Approximately 125 bottles will be displaying “Happy Holidays from TOBC” and the remaining bottles will equally be split with “TOBC of Covington” and “TOBC of Fort Worth”. When allocations are released please consider which medallion you would like. If your allocation is for three or more bottles may I suggest one of each? The price will be $44.99 plus tax which is a fantastic price. Take a look at the attached sample design of the medallions. The Fort Worth will be the same as Covington. Another exciting thing about this selection is this will be the only single barrel rye selection from Jack Daniels in the entire state of Louisiana until at least 2021! We once again will have a unique bottle of whiskey ONLY available to club members and we are excited about that.

Members that elect to not receive their full allocation will go back into the club inventory for a second round of distribution.
